What's the difference between Gameface & Dark Moon?
Why would you need two moisturisers? What's the difference?
We put our, award-winning incumbent, Gameface Moisturiser up against our newer challenger, Dark Moon Hydrating Cream to answer the big questions in life.
Key Active Ingredients:
Jojoba - A botanical extract from the seed of the jojoba tree. Jojoba helps make Gameface light and non-greasy, being a wax ester it is the closest thing to the oil your skin naturally produces, so it is easily absorbed and works with your skin rather than fighting against it.
What Gameface Moisturiser does:
Think of using Gameface Moisturiser a little like stepping out the door in your favourite pair of skinny jeans or hitting the waves in a protective wetsuit. Gameface Moisturiser is designed to rest both on top of the skin to protect as well as moisturising your skin. Gameface performs 3 main duties, summarised as:
1 - Firms your skin
2 - Holds in cell moisture
The Ponga fern provides a near instant firming effect on your skin, lifting and toning your face, firming out wrinkles and providing a youthful appearance for the day. Jojoba provides a light, absorbent layer to keep your skin's moisture inside rather than drying out from the wind, sun & conditions the day throws at you. Horopito's anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties treat any micro abrasions from shaving or scratches from sport and skin stress the day throws at you. It's also a great hydrating treatment for your beard and skin beneath, no need for putting oil on your beard or skin.
What Dark Moon Hydrating Cream does:
Your body does most of it's healing when you're asleep. It's why it's so important to have rest time when you're exercising often or hitting the gym - gains come when you're resting in bed. As well as moisturising your skin, Dark Moon Hydrating Cream is designed to be used sparingly and rest lightly on the skin. It's power-packed and a little goes a long way. Dark Moon Hydrating Cream maximises the period when most cellular repair occurs to work with your skin cells' natural rhythm by doing three main things summarised as:
Without an abundance of vitamin C, there is no proline production and no collagen synthesis. Collagen is a major structural component in skin an connective tissue and cannot be absorbed through the skin which is why you need to 'feed' your skin to produce it's own. Skin rich in collagen is vibrant and youthful, as we age we produce less collagen and the vitamin C in Dark Moon provides the fuel for the fire. Swamp Maple stimulates dermal regeneration by increasing collagen production while inhibiting collagenase enzyme synthesis that degrades collagen with age. Swamp Maple extract also encourages production of pro collagen and pro elastin, the precursors to collagen and elastin. Rosemary extract is a superpowered anti-oxidant that fends off free radicals to allow the above process to happen. Free radicals occur during oxidation and are atoms with incomplete electron bonds that set off a chain reaction until they become more stable, causing damage to cells in the process.
